Mike Zidele, Chief Financial Officer/Director of Reimbursement


Sandra Lazarus, CPP, Director of Payroll Services


Experience: 10+ Years

As a payroll manager for Alternative Solutions Group, Sandra has serviced more than 25 long-term care facilities with over 3,000 employees, using an in-house payroll system as well as a time and attendance system. She is responsible for all monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports. She also has experience with state regulations for New York, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois.  

Sandra is a graduate of the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Michalene Downey, Corporate Controller & Director of Accounting


Experience: 23+ Years

Michalene Downey (a.k.a. Mike) has more than 23 years of accounting experience for more than 1,400 long-term care beds. As controller and accounting manager at Alternative Solutions Group, she has been responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and working with the facilities operations staff to develop monitoring tools for optimal financial performance.
